The meet-up provides a casual monthly chance for Dachshund/Wiener dog lovers to meet other individuals who share in the interest of this fascinating breed and allow their dachshund to exercise & socialize. We also give updates of other local dachshund/dog/animal events (such as the famous seasonal dachshund picnics, parades, & races through the year boasting hundreds of attendees) and share of health tips, training tips, stories, and other related info regarding our four legged pals through meetup.com's online community.

FAQ:
Do you have to have a dachshund to attend?
Not at all. frequently we have non dachshund breeds or part dachsies come out to join in the fun; Past owners of dachshunds that just enjoy being around the company of dachshunds & other fellow lovers of the breed; individuals seeking to own a dachshund soon and want to interact with this breed before settling on a decision; and just passerbys entertained at the amount of dachshunds congregated together. So, ultimately all that's mainly required is a fondness for the breed.

Is there a fee for the group?
To assist with the annual costs, a donation of $5.00 per year is requested. Payment can be made by clicking on the PayPal link on the upper left of the welcome page.
FRIENDLY REMINDERS:
*Please know that we want all our dogs and owners to be safe.
Owners are responsible for their dog(s) at all times. Please be sure that your dog is friendly to both other dogs and humans. Dogs should be vaccinated; preferably spayed / neutered (if not, please use good judgment in your dog's behavior). Please do not bring your dog if she is in heat.

*Please be prepared with doggy bags for those unsuspecting presents they tend to leave behind. We often meet in public places and would like to remain welcome.
