Hey Friends~

It was great to see so many old friend and new faces at the MeetUp last month...we had 39 dogs!! Everyone in attendance agreed that ADL was a good move. And I was told they are working on fencing in the ENTIRE park!! THAT will be blast...all that space for our dogs to run.

A couple of things to keep in mind...please park at the ADL Animal Hospital around the corner on Iota Dr.. There is a gate that gives you access to the grounds...follow the path around to the park in the back. Our new MeetUp time is 3:30 - 5:30. There really is no place to sit, so feel free to bring portable chairs. Remember that there is a fee of $2 per dog. If no one greets you at the gate, PLEASE ask one of the members who to give the money to.

I received an email from Emily at ADL telling me that she rescued some more dachshunds...all long hair. A few are about 5 months old and a few are over 5 years. They are all ready for adoption at the ADL...check them out if you get a chance. Also, as with all most non-profit organizations, the ADL has a Wish List of items they would like to have donated. Here are a few:

• Collars, leashes and harnesses
  
• Dog Nail Clippers and Brushes
  
• Pedigree canned Dog Food
  
• Esbilac Puppy Formula
  
• Puppy Shampoo
  
• Puppy toys
  
• Hard Rubber toys (for older dogs)
  

We have big plans for attending the Weiner Dog Races in Buda, April 25-26th. Mylissa and I plan on getting there early Saturday and setting up a canopy. You are all welcome to come out and spend the day. It will be tons of fun!

Unfortunately, I won't be at the MeetUp this month. As most of your know, I have breast cancer and have been through 2 rounds of chemo and 2 surgeries. Unfortunately, the pathology report indicates that I still have some microscopic cancer in my breast and therefore, need a mastectomy. My surgery is scheduled for April 14th. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I hope to see you all in Buda!!
