Phoenix WILL BE OPEN on Sunday however the area where the bigger dogs normally are playing will continue to be closed. We will meet in the small area as we generally do. The Shiba Inu meetup will be there as well so it may be a tad crowded. There will be the pitter patter of many paws!!! It's Springtime with the Wieners!! I hope the day will be as beautiful as the March meetup!! The dogs (and humans)sure had fun. We are meeting at 2:00 in the smallest dog area of the three at Phoenix Park. So bring a comfy chair and the donation basket will be once again be available. Donations help to fund the $19.00 per month meetup fees and to pay for the bottle water, sodas and doggie treats. See you there!

    It was my first meet up and it was fun...though it was too hot!!! I wish I could've stayed longer and met more people but I think that it would be best to meet up later in the day in the future. Also, it was hard to find the park... I got lost and met people on the road that were lost too!

    Soooo?? Is it going to be at the Phoenix Dog Park at the address listed on the post? The drive is a little far for us and I want to clarify if it is for sure happening there... I am also not too familiar with the area if plans change at the last minute. And will you ever meet at any other dog park? We normally go to the one in Elk Grove off of Sheldon Rd and Hwy 99....?

    I want to thank Sacramento Dachshun Meet for helping me find a home as I am now the proud Dog Mom of Frankie...through Sacramento Dachshund Meetup. Thanks to John and Joyce Espinosa who sent me the e-mail I think? Paul and Anna were the people who wanted to find Frankie a good home and yes, I answered...so this program is awesome and I am one happy Sacramento Dachshund Meetup Mom!!! So is Max who is my Dachshund too (he's 8 yo and she's 3 yo. Thanks, Sharon Noda Noda Knows!

    Can't meet on Easter. The same issue happens in May with Mothers Day. Can we change the May date?

      “ This is the 2nd time I brought Madde (7 mos old female). In March 2009 the small dog enclosure was off limits due to maintenance. So this was Madde's first time to interact with other dogs. But she is still a little shy, I guess, and wouldn't play. Still, it was a good experience for her to be around all the other wieners! And so much fun for me to watch them all. We will definitely attend again. I'll bring an umbrella next time. ”
