"BANDIT
is 5 years old, house broken, raised with and good with children, plays well with small dogs at the dog park and does tricks including ringing a bell to ask to go outside. No one really knows who his parents are, but he has very short legs with front feet that bow outward like a Basset Hound. Bandit is neutered and has always lived inside. Bandit has some special health concerns. He has an auto immune disorder that destroys his platelets. Without treatment, he bleeds internally and will die. His treatment includes 2 steroid pills taken on alternate days. The steroids are purchased at Sam’s Club for about $20 every 90 days. Because of the steroids, Bandit takes a medication for his liver that is purchased online for about $79 every 45 days. Due to his health issues, Bandit sees the vet twice a year for lab work. These medical concerns cost approximately $960 per year. Bandit’s veterinarian will not allow him to have vaccinations due to his disorder and treatment. Bandit needs a home because his owners are divorcing. She cannot afford him and her new apartment won’t allow him. He says he will have him euthanized by June 7 if she doesn’t find Bandit a new home. He will not keep him past that date or medicate him. If you are the special person who can give Bandit the home he needs please call 817- 235-2839 Leave a message and I will have his owner contact you." |
