Is YOUR Dachshund a Saint? If so, you have to attend the St. Dachshund Day party!! It will be a fun day of romping and playing in the green clovers (hopefully if the snow stays away)! We intend on this being an indoor and outdoor playdate for the puppies depending on the weather, either way we will have fun socializing and sharing snacks and drinks!! This is an important meetup as we intend on talking about the upcoming spring and summer weather and some of the meetups we would all like to have, so bring your thinking caps and your ideas and be ready to share them because we value everyones input. Please plan on bringing some sort of treat to share (dogs included) and drinks as always will be provided. Since this is a St. Dachshund party, please dress yourself and your dog appropriately (or risk a pinch at the door)! Hi Everyone,
Helene and Val will be hosting our next Meetup and will provide the main food and drink.... lasagna, meatballs, ziti, salad and bread (Wow!!) All you need to bring is either an appetizer or dessert of choice, your doxie in their holiday finest and your holiday spirit! We will also have holiday music and games and Santa may leave a gift for each good doxie!!

Since this is the season of giving, we will be "passing the plate" for a donation of your choice to benefit All-American Dachshund Rescue (AADR). As well, please note the early RSVP for this event as there is quite a bit of detailed planning and preparation. Also, please be sure to email Helene and Val with your goodies of choice so all can be coordinated.

We are having a Halloweiner party for our dachshunds. This is a HOSTED event by James, Joel, Mr. Snickers, and Ms. Daisy. All you need to bring is your Darling Dachshund dressed up in a halloween costume since this is a COSTUME party for the dogs. Joel and James will provide light snacks and finger foods and drinks, as well as a halloween trick or treat goodie bag for each doxie in attendance. There will be prizes for cutest costume, funniest costume, and scariest costume, and everyone will get to vote. Please RSVP for this event, it is very important we know an exact count of doxies and people. If you RSVP yes and are unable to attend, please make sure to let us know. This will be a great time, there is a large fenced yard for the dogs to run and play if it is still nice, and we have a dachshund play room in our house so there is plenty of room inside should it rain. Please RSVP by Oct. 25 for this event.

Carol & Lou Alpy have generously offered to host our next Meetup at their home.............. 94 Lexington Ave, Troy NY 12180 (Google directions work well) There is parking on the street and in the driveway. They have a great fenced yard that will keep everyone safe!
They will provide hot dogs, hamburgers and rolls. So all you need to bring are your beverages, lawn chairs and a dish to share. Carol will keep track of the dishes and has asked you to contact her directly through the Meetup site.
As a courtesy to everyone, please be sure to RSVP your attendance whether you are coming or not.

Hi all!! Please note that the 'meetup' folks were a bit quick on the notice about our next meeting,....again. We're gonna go with the same place and time but on August 30th. So please disregard the meetup message from earlier today about the September meeting.
We know that the 30th is Labor Day Weekend but hopefully we'll see most of you there!!
