Welcome Dachshunds and the humans who serve them! Come to a local Dachshund Meetup to talk about training issues,
health and nutrition, and the general well-being of our popular breed, as well as let the dogs romp and play and make new
friends. Longhaired, Smooth or Wirehaired; miniature or full-sized, all breeds of Dachshunds and people are welcome!

Just to get the ball rolling, I have scheduled a first meet-up on July 13 (Sunday) at VOA Wiggly Field for 10:00 a.m. I'm completely open as to when and where we meet - my dogs (Mr. Weenie and Miss Winnie) visit both the VOA Wiggly Field in West Chester and the new dog park on Wooster Pike in Cincinnati on the weekends. Both parks have puppy pens for small dogs under 22 lbs - which is important when you have a miniature who has no concept of how small he is! I have found that the parks are much more enjoyable for our little guys in the earlier hours - if you wait too late in the day it gets to hot - but I am completely open to the time.

Please, stop by and introduce yourself and your dog(s)! Post as many pictures as you want - because can we really have too many pictures? DOXIES RULE!

Want to attend?

I thought it would be a nice change of pace for us to take a leisurely stroll around the lake at VOA Park. It's a beautiful setting, very peaceful and it's a good distance (approximately 1.4 miles) (guaranteed to make the little ones good and tired). There are plenty of benches along the way if anyone gets tired and poo bags are conveniently provided! Read more

What members are saying

Doxies are very special. It warms the heart to see them in a "herd."

It's a great opportunity to socialize for you and your pup.

Hello I joined this meetup because I want to meet more dachshund lovers and am looking to rescue another little girl into our family... I want to socialize our girls and hope to make more play dates and learn more about the breed.

I have been owned by dachshunds since my parents added Shorty to our family when I was 9 months old. Since then, between my parents and I, there have been 6 more dachshunds, and I feel I am a dachshund expert because of this. I adopted my current d

Sadie would love some appropriately-sized playmates, and I would like a "support group" of fellow doxie owners.

Welcome! I'm Fran and I am a fairly new Doxie Mom. Both of my dogs are from rescues: Mr. Weenie just turned 1 year and he is a miniature red longhair and Miss Winnie is (I think) also a red longhair. She is 7 months and both my vet and I think she
