Lost our beloved Dachshund to a spinal cord injury

Hi, two weeks ago, one day after having surgery I lost my youngest doxie Cooper to a spinal cord injury. His family and his brother dog Olliver (a dapple dachshund) are heartbroken. We are just beside ourselves. Our bed is just not the same at night without our two boys nestled between us and with each other. Olliver's ears are hanging low. He is so lonely and has no brother to play with.

If you are in the Seattle area and know of someone looking for a forever home for a miniature smooth hair black and tan male please let me know. I would prefer a younger dog but it doesn't have to be a puppy. We have one 13 year old son so there are teens here. I am a stay at home Mom so I am always with my dogs. I have been searching breeders but really want a smooth black and tan and am finding mostly color combos and long haired puppies. We love to take our dogs boating and on vacations with us. They are part of our family.
